Overview

Advance your Orchestrator Studio capabilities by exploring Logic Extensions and E1 Workflows alongside external database integration, data validation, error management, and REST API development for third-party system connections.

Learning Objectives

  • Logic Extensions
  • E1 Workflows in Orchestrator
  • External database integration
  • Data validation patterns
  • Error handling and retries
  • Building REST APIs for third parties
  • Advanced orchestration patterns

Prerequisites

Highly recommended: completion of Orchestrator 101. At minimum, hands-on experience building Orchestrations, Form Requests, Data Requests, Connectors, Custom Requests, Messages, and Cross References.

Course Materials

260-page training manual, 105-page exercise manual, and all objects created during instruction.

Course Outline

Main Topics:
Logic Extensions: Event rule functionality that exists in traditional E1 development tools, now available in Orchestrator.
Workflow: Create E1 workflows and the necessary supporting objects without the need to touch a development client. E1 Workflows allow you to automate paper and email based approval processes.
Data Validation and Error Handling: The error handling functionality in Orchestrations along with the ability to validate incoming data are important capabilities when automating business processes.
External Data Base: Reading to/from an external database into/out of E1 using Database Connectors.
E1 REST Integration with 3rd party: Use an external REST service to retrieve data from an external system and import the data into E1.

Preparation Instructions

Virtual environment system connection test of approximately 10 minutes. Detailed instructions included as part of the registration process.
